TV Tonight: Justified
Last week’s episode of “Justified” was probably the best one of them all. But tonight came pretty close. This season Raylan is battling Robert Quarles (one of the better perpetual bad guys), a wannabe druglord down from Detroit trying to start an Oxy empire in Harlan County:
Tonight, in “The Man Behind the Curtain” all the players on the chess board moved in to position:
Quarles got the Sheriff on his payroll and job #1 is to shut down my beloved Boyd Crowder (this was after he tried to buy Raylan…big mistake…huge)
Boyd never saw a carpetbagger (or a comb) he had any liking for, so he’s putting up his own candidate to take on the sheriff in the upcoming election
And Raylan is declaring war on all of ‘em. His babymama has left town, he’s been accused of being dirty, he lost his Aunt Helen and he’s just downright pissed…exactly how I like him.
Jump on this bandwagon now!

Thanks for talking this show up on TBTL. I didn’t realize it wasn’t on Showtime/HBO, so I’m pleased. It’s a bit violent for my taste, but Timothy Olyphant is awesome. http://timothy-olyphant.org/?p=1363

Thanks SO much for talking about this show on TBTL. I am crazy for it & would not have known about it otherwise. Timothy O is one big ole hunk of a man, the writing & story lines are so great but to top it off I am from a little place called Whitesburg Ky real close to Harlan. My husband gives me a hard time for “talkin country” for a couple hours after I see it. Living in Seattle for years I have lost my accent most the time but the show brings it back out of me. This show does a great job of showing the people as they really are. In fact I recently unfortunately had a family drama of my own back there involving drugs, a death and ill gotten $$$.
Thanks & I am glad you are blogging. Elaine

Best show on TV right now. This past week was a “set up” of the battles to come. Great writing and an excellent cast keeps this watchable and entertaining week after week. While I want the show to focus on the main characters, Raylan and Boyd, the writers are able to add just the right amount of side stories to include the outsiders to keep things interesting. Thanks for your great input on this one.

This season is kicking ask! Raylan IS awesome pissed. When he kicked Johnny out of his wheelchair I wanted to laugh for a while but I kept quiet cause I didn’t want to miss a word of that lecture he gave to Boyd. Those two on screen together is always delightful. The dialogue in this show is so lyrical, with all the clever turns of phrase… I love it. I’m watching Deadwood right now too and both shows make me wanna be more eloquent. (Plus it also means that most any night can be Timothy Olyphant night in my living room. He’s lovely.)
